With the ringing of the New Year’s bell for 2022, Dinghao DH3 also embraces a year of reflection and contemplation. Urban renewal is not only an important task proposed in the Fourteenth Five-Year Plan but also the core theme of Dinghao DH3’s work throughout the year.

On the afternoon of December 29, 2021, COMIN China, in collaboration with Dinghao DH3, held the Renewal and Innovation event at Dinghao DH3, where numerous industry experts and notable figures gathered at the project site to hear Mr. Zhu Haoyu, President of COMIN, share his experience and insights on how Dinghao Building has facilitated urban renewal.

Mr. Zhu Haoyu comprehensively introduced the phased achievements of Dinghao DH3. Focusing on the three cores of transportation, industry, and vitality, Dinghao DH3 achieved a revolutionary space and service upgrade. It broke through the limitations of aesthetic space and architectural structure, linking the overall positioning of the project with industrial transformation and upgrading, further emphasizing the importance of urban function renewal.

Staying ahead: Unleashing potential

Since its completion in 2003, Dinghao Building has been one of Zhongguancun’s landmarks. Nineteen years of experience have accumulated energy for Dinghao’s transformation. The refurbished A-block office building achieved a pre-lease rate of over 90% during its pre-rental period, reaching the highest rental levels in the Zhongguancun area.

Adaptation and innovation

Unlike the closed-wall concept used in commercial buildings, office buildings require open facades for better views and lighting. The lightwell atrium holds a significant place in the renovation design of Dinghao DH3, greatly enhancing tenant comfort and lighting, while modifying some of the facade’s shapes, making it more three-dimensional and modern, while still maintaining budget.

Dinghao DH3, with its exceptional urban renewal concept, professional project management skills, and impressive tenant occupancy rates, has delivered a satisfactory report card for the year 2021. Adapting to the needs of the times to meet industry development is the fundamental driving force behind Dinghao DH3’s transformation and regeneration. Bearing in its name the word “ding” (a traditional Chinese vessel), it embarks on a new journey of gathering excellence, contributing significantly to the urban renewal of Beijing.
